Job summary

Shaheen Chevrolet of Lansing seeks an Auto Body & Collision Technician to join our new, state-of-the-art body shop opening in late 2026. Experience preferred. Repairs damaged body parts and vehicles to factory and dealership specs.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles to factory and dealership specifications.
• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
• Maintains and wears all required safety PPE, including respirator.
• Complies with laws/regulations pertaining to paint and hazardous materials.
• Cooperates with other personnel in repair/prepping of vehicles.
