• Coordinates truck dumping and material flow.
• Sets up and tears down equipment.
• Operates tamping machines to compact fills and road surfaces.
• Shovels blacktop and drives equipment between sites.
• Reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Maintains PPE and adheres to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to site procedures.
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Operates machines to spread, smooth, level, or reinforce road materials.
• Operates oil distributors, loaders, and dump trucks.
• Coordinates truck dumping and material flow.
• Sets up and tears down equipment.
• Operates tamping machines to compact fills and road surfaces per grade specs.
• Shovels blacktop and transports machines and materials between sites.
• Observes material distribution to adjust machine settings as needed.
