OPEN TO immediate hires with 8-hour shifts offering full-time and part-time opportunities. Position requires military background preferred but not required, plus extensive armed security experience in high-end environments.

Qualifications

• Military experience preferred but not required.
• Extensive armed security experience in high-end environments.
• Background in military or law enforcement is desirable.
• Valid and current Driver's License, BSIS Guard Card, BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit, 40-hr Security Guard Training, Power to Arrest and Terrorism Training.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Railroad Safety Policies.
• Assist Railroad police in case of a problem.
• Deter and detect burglaries of loaded containers.
• Inspect containers and trailers for any seal exceptions or other discrepancies.
• If any loaded container or a trailer is found without a seal, notify Railroad Police.
• Inspect inbound and outbound container trains for missing seals, open container/trailer doors and trespassers.
• Stop and identify all non-employees and all private vehicles driving on the Intermodal Ramp and right of way.
• Deter theft of the company and employee’s property.
• Inspect High Value Shipments.
• Patrol perimeter fences to detect damage and inspect all gates to ensure they are locked.
• Escort and inspect all inbound trains upon arrival.
• Conduct foot patrol of designated lots as directed.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
