Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a 6G Stick Welder to join our 1st shift welding team in Lyndhurst, VA. You will weld pipe from ¾" to 18" with 2"-6" focus on critical refrigeration components such as compressors and condensers.

We require a 6G SMAW weld test, pre-employment drug screen, and familiarity with rigging, torch cutting, grinders, and measurement tools. Strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for success on a busy, in-house manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Must pass 6G SMAW weld test.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Familiar with rigging, torch cutting, grinder and measurement tools.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe ranging from ¾" to 18" diameter, primarily 2"–6".
• Weld pipe runs on critical components (compressors, vessels, evaporators, oil separators, condensers).
• Cut, bevel, and fit pipe accurately.
• Set up and perform open root welding (no insert).
• Achieve welding productivity targets (e.g., 50 diameter inches in 8 hours).
• Perform load rigging, torch cutting, and leveling using measurement tools.
• Operate grinders and wire wheels.
• Assist shop team with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned on the job site
