Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled 6G GTAW Pipe Welder to perform high-quality welds on pipe sizes from ¾" to 18" (primarily 2"–6").

The role involves setting up, fitting, and welding critical refrigeration components on a 1st shift, Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays. The ideal candidate will have a welding school background with 2+ years of experience, the ability to pass a 6G GTAW test, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Welding school graduate with 2+ years of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a 6G GTAW dissimilar weld test (2" schedule 40 stainless to 2" schedule 80 carbon), purge/no purge.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Familiarity with rigging, torch cutting, grinder and wire wheel operation, leveling, and measurement tools.
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe from ¾" to 18" diameter (primarily 2"–6").
• Set up and perform open root welding on critical components (compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers).
• Cut, bevel, and fit pipe accurately.
• Support shop team with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
• Perform other site duties as assigned.
