Cayman Chemical in Ann Arbor, MI seeks an ELISA R&D Scientist to develop new ELISA products from concept to validation, document procedures, and maintain accurate lab records. The role involves literature review, equipment upkeep, mentoring staff, and supportingSales/Marketing materials, with on-site work during business hours.

Ideal candidates have a biology/biochemistry background and extensive hands-on experience in cell culture, sample handling, and mouse models.

Formación

• Education: Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biomedicine, or related field.
• Experience: 12 years with a bachelor’s degree; 8 years with a master’s degree; 4 years with a Ph.D./doctorate.
• Experience with human sample handling, cell and tissue culture techniques, and mouse model studies preferred.
• Ability to work independently on R&D projects and analyze complex data under deadline pressure.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team; on-site in Ann Arbor, MI.

Currently, we are looking to add an ELISA R&D Scientist to the team:

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develops new products from idea generation to experiment design; performs all relevant tests and conducts validations necessary to bring ELISA products to market
• Prepares and maintains laboratory SOPs in addition to keeping complete, current, and accurate records of all weights, measures, techniques, and procedures followed or performed in a laboratory notebook
• Reads scientific literature with accuracy and understanding; keeps current of relevant scientific topics
• Maintains the general upkeep of the lab and laboratory equipment, including evaluating and recommending scientific equipment
• Assist Sales and Marketing with the development of promotional materials; may be expected to attend or present at conferences
• Mentors junior staff as needed
• Maintains compliance with all company policies, plans and procedures, including safety, security, and regulatory

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biomedicine, or related field
• Experience:
  • 12 Years with a bachelor’s degree
  • 8 Years with a master’s degree
  • 4 Years with a Ph.D. or doctorate
• Experience with human sample handling, cell and tissue culture techniques, and mouse model studies preferred.
• Ability to work independently on R&D projects, including analyzing complex data and performing under pressure to meet deadlines
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively and prioritize work
• Availability to work on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan during normal business hours.
