Job summary

Nobles County is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to assess requests for SNAP, Cash Assistance, Healthcare, and related financial programs. The role requires interpreting policy rules and applying them to each applicant, with the goal of helping families achieve self-sufficiency.

Starting wage is $25.68 per hour. After a probationary period, telecommute options may be available; bilingual skills may qualify for an extra hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; minimum three years clerical, business or bookkeeping experience.
• Must be able to independently research, comprehend and apply program policies and rules as intended for applicants.

• Applies SNAP, Cash Assistance, Healthcare and other financial assistance program eligibility criteria to individual client requests.
• Helps individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency by guiding them through eligibility processes.
