Job summary

Knowledge Services in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Eligibility Specialist to gather data for state assistance programs, verify information, obtain forms and records, review regulations, and enter data into state databases. You will respond to inquiries by phone or email.

The role includes extensive training, a 37.5 hour work week, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, paid time off, benefits, and advancement opportunities in a community‑focused organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Specialists gather data for all relevant assistance programs either face-to-face or via phone with clients

Qualifications

• Previous Case Manager experience is a plus


• Strong written and verbal skills


• Solid computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency

• Independent worker who is a self-starter that is reliable and dependable


• Strong customer service background with a professional demeanor


• Prefer a Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services, but High School Diploma or GED required


• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment, state or local government is desired pertaining to employment / training programs


• Previous experience as a Case Manager, Eligibility Specialist, Eligibility Associate, Office Manager, Call Center Customer Service Specialist, or Client Specialist encouraged to apply
