• Maintain compliance with processing paperwork, phone calls, emails and reports that are required to be submitted.
• Preserves confidentiality of program, client, and provider information.
• Participates in staff meetings, working to uphold the mission of CCS and the YWCA.
• Participates in continuing education activities.
• Communicates with impartiality and respect for all parents'/guardians' child care choices.
• Speaks to the purpose and services of the program.
• Responds with sensitivity to families' socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic and religious backgrounds, individual needs and capabilities.
• Performs other duties as required by CCAP Supervisor, Director and CEO

Our client is seeking an Eligibility Specialist for a state-administered Child Care Assistance Program in the Rockford, IL area. This role involves determining family eligibility for child care provider reimbursement, processing case documents, responding to inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent experience in customer service, social work, or data entry. Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills are required. Job Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent education and/or experience in social work, customer service, data entry, or related field. Equivalent defined as college credits and/or work hours equal to two (2) full years of education and/or full-time work
• Technical proficiency with a personal computer and various software packages
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of community/services offered in area
• Enjoy working as a team member as well as independently
• Ability to lift 30 pounds, sit, stand, bend, and twist
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
• Current Illinois driver's license and valid vehicle insurance
