Job summary

West Plains LLC, part of BioUrja Group, is seeking an Elevator Technician based at our Wiggins, CO facility. This position performs general labor for grain activities, backfilling, bulking, and other duties as assigned on site.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in grain handling or equipment operation, with a high school diploma preferred. Reliable attendance and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
• Grain industry experience, equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provides general assistance to facility operations
• Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing surfaces
• Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected
• Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
• Operate routinely used tools and equipment
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Operate load and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers and trains
