Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and knowledge as listed: high school diploma; technician license.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of hand and electrical tools and hoisting/rigging equipment.
• Physical requirements: climb, lift heavy items, work in shafts and tight spaces.
• On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Investigates problems of electric, mechanical and hydraulic nature related to elevators and performs necessary repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on a scheduled basis to ensure safe operation.
• Conducts annual tests to verify the proper operation of safety devices.
• Assists in evaluating equipment suitability and proposed modifications.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
