Job summary

East er n Elevator Service and Sales Company is seeking an Elevator Helper to support mechanics in elevator service and repair at the Glen Bernie, MD location. The role involves transporting tools, holding parts during work, and ensuring a safe, organized job site.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, engines, or HVAC is preferred, with prior elevator experience or technical military training

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Requires ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical, engines or HVAC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanic with elevator service and repair tasks.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work sites.
• Hold, position, and secure parts during installation or repair tasks.
• Clean machine parts, rails, and cables as instructed.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
