Job summary

Liberty Elevator seeks a professional Elevator Project Estimator to manage high volumes of SOWs for elevator modernization and new construction projects. The role focuses on accurate, timely, and competitive proposals, balancing technical analysis with clear client communication.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands construction documentation, and collaborates with Project Managers to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the bid process.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience in elevator construction or modernization preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree in construction management, estimating, business management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, specifications and plans to understand scope.
• Identify drawing deficiencies and request clarifications as needed.
• Visit construction sites to gather project information.
• Determine time, labor, materials and equipment costs.
• Prepare detailed material and labor estimates.
• Record actual project costs for tracking and review.
• Obtain and evaluate multiple vendor quotes for each opportunity.
• Vet and select vendors/subcontractors appropriate for scope and budget.
• Manage bid packages and vendor submissions.
• Prepare detailed cost analyses from bid data.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and work with Project Managers during bid/transition.
• Present prepared estimates to management and stakeholders.
• Communicate project requirements and pricing clearly to clients.
