Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and maintain facility appearance.
• Load/unload trucks and railcars, monitor equipment condition.
• Handle grain operations such as filling/reclaiming piles and transferring/blending.
• Provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service.
• Maintain facility appearance including elevators, grounds and buildings.
• Monitor equipment and report repairs or issues to management.

• Problem-solve and make necessary decisions.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Saturday 7am-7pm; working over 40 hours per week.

First will start off working 7:00 AM-3:30 PM; once harvest season begins then contractor will be working 7am - 7PM Monday through Saturday.

As an Elevator Operator, you will:

1. Operate safely within Cargill policy, procedures, and governmental regulations and fully participate in Cargill Safety programs (BBSP, SafeStart, etc.).
2. Perform critical operations to keep facility running: Loading/Unloading trucks and railcars.
3. Handle other grain operations including filling/reclaiming of ground piles, transferring, blending, etc.
4. Provide a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, knowledgeable interaction and behaviors.
5. Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevators, grounds, buildings, etc.
6. Monitor equipment to ensure it's in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of the facility and equipment - notify management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns.
7. Be an involved/engaged member of a team.
8. Problem-solve and make decisions as needed.
9. Work outside in all types of weather, climb ladders, and work from heights.
10. Work in a potentially physically strenuous environment.
