Job summary

Viserion Grain Company in Blytheville, AR, is seeking an entry-level operator for the grain elevator. You will assist in loading, unloading, and transferring grain and grain products for trucks and barges, while maintaining safe and sanitary work areas.

Job description

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

• Assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck and barge.
• Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Assists in basic maintenance activities.
• Compliance with all the Company's safety programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
• Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.
• Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
• Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
• Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
• Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
• Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
