Job summary

Elevated Facility Services in Texas is seeking an Elevator Technician to perform complete modernizations and repairs for hydraulic and traction elevators, including installing microprocessor controllers, door equipment, pumping units, hoist machines, wiring, fixtures, hoist ropes and packings.

The role covers inspections, annual safety tests and evaluating equipment suitability for modifications or new installations, with on-site work, safety compliance and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Elevator Technician degree or Elevator Mechanic License.
• Knowledge of hand and electrical tools (grinders, drills) and hoisting equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete modernizations and repairs in a professional and profitable manner.
• Conducts repair, modernizations and inspections of elevators, and related devices to ensure their effective and efficient operation and conformance to safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Performs annual tests to ensure the proper operation of safety devices during final inspections
• Assists in determining the suitability of present elevator equipment, proposed modifications and new equipment.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required.
