Job summary

Home Accessibility Solutions seeks a field service technician to diagnose and repair elevators, stairlifts, and platform lifts in customers’ homes. You may rotate on-call for service calls and travel to job sites on a route schedule.

You will diagnose faults on-site, repair or replace components, and perform preventive maintenance. You will also clearly explain issues and fixes to homeowners and document the work performed.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in diagnosing faults on site.
• Electrical or mechanical repair experience is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot without step-by-step supervision.
• Strong customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and diagnose faults on-site.
• Repair or replace controllers, drives, batteries, motors, and safety devices.
• Complete preventive maintenance visits on a route schedule.
• Explain the problem and the fix to the homeowner in plain language.
• Document parts used and work performed for every call.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
