Job summary

Residential Elevators, Inc. is seeking an Elevator Install Mechanic to work full-time on new installations of residential elevators, including traction and hydraulic models. The role includes installing and testing electrical systems, maintaining stock, and overseeing complete installations.

Travel is required up to 90% (mostly regional from Long Island, NY). The candidate should be able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and pass a background and drug screen. Benefits are provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able and willing to travel up to 90% (mostly regional travel from Long Island, NY).
• Be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and doing hard physical work.
• Be comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Know how to safely use hand tools.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Residential Elevators is looking for an Elevator Install Mechanicto work full-time, at least 40 hours a week working on new installations. This position will be responsible for the installation of traction and hydraulic home elevators, as well as responsible for overseeing the complete installation of residential elevators.

This role will also install and test electrical systems, maintain stock and order supplies, maintain a clean work area, perform proper timekeeping, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

Prior elevator installation experience is required and the ability to work independently.
