About The Role

The Elevator Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of elevators. This position involves conducting thorough inspections, testing mechanical and electrical components, and verifying adherence to local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations. The inspector will identify potential hazards, document findings, and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to prevent accidents and ensure optimal operation. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid license through the NJ Department of Community of Affairs.
  • Valid certification or licensure as an elevator inspector as required by the state or local jurisdiction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Subcode license and/or experience.
  • Experience working in elevator maintenance, repair, or installation.
  • Familiarity with computerized inspection reporting systems and mobile inspection technology.
  • Certification in additional safety or inspection programs, such as OSHA safety training.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
