Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking an Elevator Inspector to ensure passenger and freight elevators comply with applicable laws, rules, and safety standards. The role involves conducting inspections, tests, and investigations, and maintaining detailed records and reports.

The Inspector will determine responsibility for elevator operation at premises, investigate violations, and respond to complaints, contributing to safe and compliant building infrastructure throughout the city.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Three (3) years of full time paid experience in the installation, construction, inspection, or repair of elevators is required.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.
• A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required.
