Job Title: Elevator Field Mechanic

Join our team at South Jersey Elevator as an Elevator Field Mechanic. We service South Jersey and surrounding areas, providing elevator repair, maintenance, and modernization for both commercial and residential clients.

We are looking for licensed elevator mechanics to join our growing team. Responsibilities include:

1. Installing and upgrading elevator equipment from ground break to final inspections for new construction and modernization projects.
2. Repairing and maintaining equipment, including servicing, adjusting, and testing mechanical and electronic systems.
3. Analyzing information and evaluating results to determine the best solutions.
4. Interacting professionally with customers, general contractors, and business owners.

Requirements:

• Elevator Mechanic license or credentials to obtain one, with at least 5 years of experience in the trade (ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire).
• Completion of a 4-year federally approved apprenticeship program is recommended but not mandatory.
• Physical ability to perform activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials.
• Willingness to travel out of town as needed and participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and maintain punctuality.
