Job summary

BOCA Group seeks an experienced Elevator Inspector to perform evaluations, inspections, and documentation, ensuring conformance with national and local codes. The role requires strong communication with owners, building staff, and contractors, plus thorough reporting of deficiencies and recommended upgrades.

Travel across the Central Region, primarily Texas, is required. Licenses: Elevator Inspector’s license and NYC license; QEI preferred.

Qualifications

• Elevator Inspector’s license required; NYC local license required.
• QEI elevator licenses preferred.
• Extensive elevator knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual inspection and witness full load 5 tests and complete paperwork.
• Perform maintenance evaluations and complete paperwork.
• Perform maintenance re-evaluations and complete paperwork.
• Perform construction service evaluations and complete paperwork.
• Prepare reports with findings and recommended corrections.
• Conduct due diligence surveys and complete paperwork.
• Attend meetings with Sr. VP and Partners; take notes and follow up on directives.
• Travel as needed; adapt to new technology used in field operations.
