Job summary

Schindler Group in Hanover, PA is seeking an assembler to perform operations to assemble, fabricate and align a variety of mechanical elevator components. You will follow SAP 00R (M.I.) and engineering drawings, ensuring parts availability and conforming to quality specifications.

You will also set up spray equipment, apply coatings, and complete final operations while maintaining records and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate and align mechanical elevator components according to engineering drawings and instructions.
• Identify and assemble all parts to complete platforms, safeties, governors and related assemblies, ensuring parts availability.
• Complete final operations such as filing, drilling, tapping and polishing to meet QA specifications.
• Set up spray equipment and apply adhesives to door materials or decorative panels.
• Perform laminating and upholstering of cab components as required to meet architectural specs.
• Maintain records and documents related to production.
• Adhere to safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.
