Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) in York, PA is seeking an Assembler N to build elevator components and assemblies from SAP/M.I. data, drawings and instructions.

You will identify parts, assemble platforms, safeties and interlocks, perform finishing operations, and ensure conformance to QA specifications while maintaining records and supporting safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GED, high school diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts from SAP 00R (M.I.), COE sheets, drawings and instructions to ensure all parts are available.
• Identify and assemble all components to complete platforms, safeties, blocks, and interlocks per engineering specs.
• Perform final operations including filing, drilling, tapping and polishing.
• Operate hand or machine tools to verify conformance to QA specs.
• Set up spray equipment and apply adhesive coatings to door material/panels.
• Laminating and upholstering cab components to meet architectural specs as required.
• Maintain records and documents.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area orderly.
