Job summary

Commonwealth Lodging Management is seeking a diligent hotel housekeeping associate in Norfolk, VA to uphold guest relations, confidentiality, and service standards. You will clean rooms efficiently, stock supplies, and maintain public and service areas with safety as a priority.

The role requires lifting up to 25 pounds, standing for long periods, and working across front office, guest rooms, and service corridors in a dynamic hotel environment. Training on OSHA guidelines provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest relations and confidentiality at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Know hotel features/services, hours, rates, packages, promotions, arrivals and departures.
• Be familiar with local attractions to respond accurately to inquiries.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Complete daily supervisor-directed reports.
• Clean guest rooms to standard within 26 minutes; prepare rooms for cleaning.
• Clean bathrooms, dust, replenish supplies, and make beds daily with fresh linen.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, linen room stock, and cleanliness of corridors and elevator area.
• Help with pool areas, ice machines, and vending areas; manage trash and recycling.
• Assist coworkers and guests; report any complaints to supervisor.
• Support emergencies to protect guests and building; follow department and brand policies.
