LifeSpan Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time role in Westfield, Indiana. The COTA will support occupational therapists, deliver therapeutic activities, and help residents regain daily living skills in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a COTA.
• Must have a valid Indiana Operator's license.
• Basic computer literacy to document resident records.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents’ functional abilities.
• Contribute to evaluation by performing objective tests under supervision.
• Provide direct resident care including therapeutic exercises and activities under supervision.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies as needed.
• Occasionally travel to other locations to provide therapy coverage.
• Maintain clear documentation of treatments and communicate with the therapy team and residents.
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas for efficient sessions.
• Alert therapists to resident progress and need to reevaluate treatment plans.
• Educate residents and families on home exercises to support recovery.
