Job summary

LifeSpan Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN/Day Shift at Countryside Manor in Anderson, IN. The COTA collaborates with occupational therapists to deliver rehabilitation, focusing on daily living skills and independence, with strong emphasis on resident safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification to practice as a COTA.
• Must have a valid Indiana Operator's license.
• Basic computer literacy to document resident records in electronic health systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with residents, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist OTs in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents' functional abilities.
• Contribute to evaluation processes by performing objective tests under supervision.
• Provide direct resident care including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies as needed.
• Occasionally travel to other locations to provide therapy coverage.
• Maintain clear documentation of treatments and communicate with the therapy team.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs to support recovery.
