Job summary

HENDERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is seeking an Assistant Coach for Elementary Athletics & Activities to support the LCSD#1 program. You will supervise student athletes during practices and events, model safe sportsmanship, and assist with equipment and schedules.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; previous coaching or participation experience is preferred. You will work under the Elementary School Principal and participate in LCSD#1 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous coaching or participation experience in the sport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of practice sessions to develop sport skills and sportsmanship.
• Attend and assist with monitoring all practices and events.
• Assist with communicating with student athletes and parents regarding practice schedules and events.
• Assist with inventory and security of equipment and supplies.
• Follow LCSD#1 guidelines.
• Assist with implementing the elementary sport curriculum during practices.
• Demonstrate fairness and consistency in decisions related to sport participants.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
