Job summary

Sylvania in Utah seeks a Specialist, Computer Elementary to teach computer literacy, coding, and technology skills, while supporting integration of technology into classroom instruction.

Responsibilities include maintaining the computer lab, managing Chromebooks and software, preparing lesson plans, and assisting with district technology initiatives. This part-time role (~29 hours/week) is based in a school lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Job-related experience required.
• District required training annually

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly technology instruction to elementary students in grades K-6.
• Teach computer literacy, keyboarding, and introductory coding skills.
• Implement district-approved instructional technology curriculum.
• Maintain computer hardware, software, and related technology equipment.
• Manage computer lab supplies, software, and technology resources.
• Assist with school testing by supporting technology requirements for assessments.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain technology inventory including Chromebooks and related equipment.
• Prepare lesson plans and program documentation.
• Research and write grants to support the technology program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
