Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Teaching Assistant / Health Care Aide for Cardinal Elementary School (2nd Grade) in Muskegon, MI. Position runs 6.75 hours daily (7:50am-3:05pm, M-F) during the school year with a pay rate of $16.79 per hour.

Responsibilities include reporting to the assigned teacher, following directives, assisting with students, monitoring progress, and maintaining data/records. Training in medical/bodily care tasks may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be Highly Qualified per Department of Education.
• Associate degree, 60 credits or ETS score 460+.
• Training in medical related and bodily care functions may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow the teacher’s directives.
• Be involved with the students; monitor progress and data/record keeping.
• Reinforce lessons and activities.
• May require district to provide training in medical related care tasks.
