Job summary

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a dedicated 3rd–5th Grade Elementary Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. The role emphasizes upper-elementary academics, a student-centered approach, and preparation for middle school.

The teacher reports to the Building Principal and works a 4-day week (Tue–Fri) on a 167-day calendar. The candidate will plan engaging lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, and collaborate with staff while maintaining records and participating in MTSS and IEP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (preferred).
  • Current Colorado teaching license or licensure application in process.
  • Current Colorado Substitute Teaching License if teacher license not completed.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills.
  • Training in structured literacy, MTSS, or early childhood development.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.

Position Overview

HIRING FOR 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and student‑centered 3rd‑5th Grade Elementary Teacher to join our team. The role focuses on upper‑elementary learners, strong foundational academics, and preparing students for middle school success. The teacher reports to the Building Principal and works a 4‑day school week (Tuesday‑Friday) on a 167‑day calendar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver standards‑based instruction in core subject areas.
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Implement research‑based literacy and math practices.
  • Integrate technology appropriately into instruction.
  • Establish and maintain a structured and positive learning environment.
  • Teach and reinforce classroom expectations and procedures.
  • Promote student responsibility and independence.
  • Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Participate in MTSS processes and intervention planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades.
  • Collaborate with grade‑level teams and support staff.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, and MTSS meetings as needed.
  • Maintain current licensure and participate in professional development.
  • Support building and district improvement goals.
  • Follow district policies and procedures and uphold ethical conduct.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (preferred).
  • Current Colorado teaching license or licensure application in process.
  • Current Colorado Substitute Teaching License if teacher license not completed.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills.
