Job summary

Kansas City School District in Kansas City, Missouri seeks an elementary Teach to Lead teacher. You will plan and execute lessons, manage student learning, and support administration with day-to-day duties.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid substitute certificate or the ability to obtain one, and a commitment to pursuing teaching certification while working with youth. It is a full-time, in-person position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university.
• GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate or be willing to obtain one prior to hire date.
• Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.
• Commitment to working towards completing a teaching certification.
• Experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Perform classroom duties and manage curriculum delivery.
• Prepare and execute course of study.
• Lecture and demonstrate using teaching aids to present material.
• Administer, correct assignments and tests, record grades and attendance.
• Support building administration with related tasks as needed.
