Qualifications

• Louisiana teaching certificate, 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with students from similar backgrounds to LSVI students.
• Teacher of Visually Impaired certification preferred (3 years to achieve).
• Demonstrates Braille proficiency with passing score on the NCUEB.

Responsibilities

• Plan rigorous lessons aligned to the Early Childhood Standards and school curriculum.
• Engage in regular Professional Learning Communities and growth in instructional practices.
• Participate in school activities, clubs, and student support initiatives.
• Use data to drive instruction and provide interventions to meet diverse learning needs.
