Job summary

Ohio County Schools is seeking an Elementary Teacher at West Liberty Elementary School for the 2026-2027 year. The role involves teaching students according to county/state policy and school goals, focusing on reading and math and using differentiated instruction to reach all learners.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Any additional combination of training or experience which would lead to successful employment as an Elementary Teacher.

  • Engage in professional development for self-renewal that guides continuous examination and improvement of professional practice.
  • Engage in collaborative learning opportunities for self-renewal with colleagues.
  • Participate in school-wide collaborative efforts to support the success of all students.
  • Work with parents, guardians, families and community entities to support student learning and well-being.
  • Promote practices and policies that improve school environment and student learning.
  • Provide measurable progress of student learning of state-approved curricula.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct as defined in law, policy and procedure at the state, district, and school level.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL: To teach students according to county and state policy, mission, core beliefs, academic goals, and target areas.
