Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and state teaching certification; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to adhere to them.

Responsibilities

• Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
• Teach reading and math skills
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
• Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• Assess student's skills and performance to ensure milestones are met
• Develop and implement lesson plans promoting spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development
• Maintain a safe, orderly, Christ-honoring classroom environment
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments with timely feedback
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support academic growth
• Participate in school activities including chapel services and staff devotions
• Integrate biblical principles and Christian character into daily instruction
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and evaluations
• Uphold and model the school's faith statements
