Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.

• Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics content and pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging daily core content lessons aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction and provide targeted support for diverse learners; monitor progress.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom culture reflecting school values.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, successes, and challenges.

Lower Elementary Teacher Summary

The Lower Elementary Teacher supports a joyful, structured, and purposeful classroom culture where all students, regardless of ability, feel a sense of belonging and are empowered to succeed. The teacher delivers standards-aligned math instruction, facilitates meaningful learning experiences, and builds authentic relationships with students to foster their academic growth and social-emotional development. The Lower Elementary Teacher plays a key role in implementing the school's vision for equity and excellence, ensuring all students achieve at high levels and embody the school's core values of practice, service, and purpose. The Lower Elementary Teacher reports to the Assistant Principal of Instruction and collaborates with the school team to create a positive and adaptive learning environment.
