Job Location: New Orleans, LA 70122

InspireNOLA is one of the highest-performing open-admission charter networks in New Orleans. It operates seven public charter schools and educates over 5,500 students, the majority of whom are African American and qualify for free or reduced lunch. The organization focuses on providing outstanding instruction and differentiated support to meet the needs of all students, striving for academic excellence and community revitalization.

Position Summary

InspireNOLA Charter Schools is seeking a passionate, talented, and dedicated Teacher who is committed to the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of students and has a strong desire to continuously develop professionally.

Position Qualifications & Competencies
  • Belief in the mission and values of InspireNOLA
  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Two or more years of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Louisiana Teacher Certification or in progress (preferred)
  • Proven success in raising the achievement levels of historically under-served students
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and implement rigorous unit and engaging lesson plans that incorporate all components of the InspireNOLA instructional model
  • Create a structured, achievement-oriented learning environment, and develop a positive rapport with students
  • Utilize student data to drive instruction, re-teaching, and classroom interventions
  • Exemplify InspireNOLA’s core values in all interactions with students and their families to demonstrate commitment to students’ academic and behavioral success
  • Have expertise in a content area and strong classroom management skills
  • Work collaboratively with the school team, families, and community members
  • Continuously improve instructional practices and engage in ongoing professional development
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form
  • Proactively manage student behavioral issues and adhere to school policies for infractions and incentives
  • Participate enthusiastically in structured and informal learning and development opportunities, including seeking and accepting continual feedback from staff and administration
  • Engage in school-based professional development sessions (cluster and data review meetings) and additional opportunities offered by the InspireNOLA Support Team office
  • Perform other additional duties as specified
Compensation & Benefits

Salary is competitive and depends on prior experience. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as TRSL and employer retirement contribution.
