Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Appropriate state teaching licensure.
• Demonstrated teaching skills.
• Strong human relation skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans instruction and other student support activities, including goals and priorities, lesson plans and daily lesson plans.
• Provides instruction at appropriate levels, monitors progress, and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Establishes behavior expectations and maintains classroom control in line with policies.
• Participates in parent/teacher conferences and communicates student progress to parents.
• Collaborates with professional staff to meet student needs and protect confidentiality.
• Develops tests and evaluates results, reports grades to parents as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of subjects taught and aligns with district objectives.
• Pursues professional development to enhance teaching skills and student outcomes.
• Records and maintains proper data to provide accurate information.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
