Job summary

Breckinridge County Schools is seeking a District Elementary Speech Language Pathologist to screen, assess, and provide therapy for students with communication disorders. The role involves developing IEP-based services under the direction of the Principal, with an 185-day work year and close collaboration with the district’s special education team.

Responsibilities include preparing evaluations, maintaining records, communicating with the Admissions and Release Committee, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders required.
  • Kentucky certification required for speech-language pathology.
  • Kentucky Communication Disorders Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, assess and identify students with communication disorders.
  • Develop and provide direct and indirect services within the student’s educational setting based on IEP goals.
  • Prepare evaluations and maintain records documenting services and progress.
  • Communicate test results and proposed treatment plans to the Admissions and Release Committee.
  • Develop treatment plans aligned with IEP goals and monitor progress.
