27J Schools in the Denver metro area invites applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional - Elementary - Intensive Support at Second Creek Elementary in Brighton.

The role provides direct instructional and behavioral support to students with severe disabilities, under supervision of certified staff, with opportunities to collaborate across classrooms and participate in data collection and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with students with social/emotional disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Must pass a Colorado and Federal background check.
• Must pass a post offer, pre-employment physical.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support for students with disabilities per IEP.
• Modify materials and classroom environment as directed by teachers.
• Identify and support peer relationships and natural supports.
• De-escalate students using CPI measures when needed.
• Attend trainings and student staffings as required.
• Maintain required forms and records.
