Qualifications

• Experience working in special education and licensed classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Follow mandated compliance standards established by the Federal, the State, or the District regulations.
• Maintain appropriate student records and submit reports within designated time limits.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information relating to students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrate effective English communication in writing and speech.
• Carry out clerical duties such as attendance and budgeting materials promptly and accurately.
• Attend and participate in required training.
• Coordinate paraprofessional support as needed.
• Maintain PowerSchool records accurately and timely.
• Provide instruction aligned with functional curriculum domains.
• Use research-based instructional methods and materials.
• Provide meaningful activities and instruction in natural settings.
• Utilize age-appropriate materials and provide differentiated instruction.
• Assess student progress with appropriate testing and annual IEP meetings.
