Job summary

Abilene ISD is seeking a dedicated Teacher for Elementary Special Education at Bassetti Elementary, responsible for developing learning strategies tailored to student needs. This role involves implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and ensuring a supportive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate, demonstrating the ability to manage and instruct students effectively. A year's student teaching or approved internship experience is also required. Additional compensation includes a stipend for a Master’s Degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• One year student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate learning activities for students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans accordingly.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student learning styles.

Skills

Knowledge of core academic subject assigned

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education
