Job summary

Tara Heights Elementary is seeking a Certified - Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities for the 2026-27 school year. This role starts immediately and focuses on implementing instructional programs and developing IEPs for each student, while fostering collaborative relationships with families and staff.

The teacher will coordinate with paraprofessionals, participate in district meetings, and engage in ongoing professional growth to ensure high-quality student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education required.
• Nebraska Teacher’s Certificate or eligibility required.
• Completion of student teaching experienced required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional programs for students with disabilities.
• Develop IEPs for each student assigned.
• Coordinate daily expectations and supervise paraprofessionals.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
