Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related discipline
• Master's Degree in related area preferred
• 1–3 years of successful prior experience preferred
• Experience with students with intellectual disabilities, physical impairments, social-emotional and behavioral challenges
• Belief in inclusion of students with peers
• Knowledge of state curriculum standards for students with disabilities
• Understanding of IDEA, timelines, NHSEIS usage, and Alternative Portfolio requirements

Responsibilities

• Case management and facilitation of IEP process from Referral to Placement
• Assist students and staff with IEPs and behavior plans
• Develop/ administer district-aligned curriculum and goals
• Serve as liaison between home and school for students on caseload
• Coordinate with outside agencies as needed
• Ensure compliance with district policies and laws
