Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 elementary endorsement is required.
• Experience teaching or student teaching in a classroom setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication with teachers, students, parents and staff.
• Knowledge of secondary curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with intervention strategies and progress monitoring.
• Ability to model effective teaching practices for diverse learners.
• Ability to interpret data to inform instruction and address needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with special education and general education staff.
• Work under the direction of the building principal.
• Provide instruction as determined by students' IEPs.
• Develop comprehensive IEPs including behavior intervention plans.
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and parents.
• Share strategies with families to support learning at home.
• Implement IEPs for students on the caseload.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
