Available Positions

We are hiring for six elementary schools in DC. Positions include working with students on IEPs in various settings, including inclusion and co-teaching models.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities
  • Mission Alignment: Commitment to KIPP DC’s mission, antiracist goals, and professional growth.
  • Instructional Responsiveness & Content Knowledge: Teach challenging lessons, analyze student data, attend meetings, and mentor if assigned.
  • IEP Case Management: Manage IEPs, create reports, monitor progress, and collaborate with related service providers.
  • Care & Classroom Culture: Build empowering, inclusive classrooms and foster relationships with families.
  • Other Duties: Include clerical tasks, duties during school hours, and participation in events and trips. All responsibilities are communicated with flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)
  • Commitment to working with underserved communities (Required)
  • At least two years of teaching experience in PreK-12 (Required)
  • Bachelor’s in content area (Preferred)
  • Experience/strength in content area (Preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting salary at $65,500, increasing with experience, with up to $5,000 renewal bonus annually.

  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions and a 3% match after three years.
