Job summary

Kingston Community Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher – Elementary to deliver high-quality specialized instruction to diverse K-12 students and collaborate with the district's SPED team.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, Highly Qualified status in Special Education, and endorsements in SA, SE, or SM if possible. The incumbent will develop assessments and work with At-Risk and Special Education students to boost achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Highly Qualified in Special Education; Endorsements in SA, SE, or SM preferred (or willingness to obtain such).
• Experience in teaching K-12 students strongly recommended.
• Experience in creating and using both formative and summative assessments.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and expertise in working with K-12 students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers on instructional methodologies and implement effective instructional strategies to improve student achievement.
• Demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of students, including At-Risk and Special Education students.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff while ensuring supportive classroom management.
