Job description

This role is eligible for a $5,000 bonus as well as up to $5,000 for relocation expenses!

New teachers start at $60,000, with Mastery offering up to $82,000 based on experience and education. Salaries range from $60,000 to $111,000, with growth opportunities as your career progresses.

The Opportunity:

At Mastery, all means all. Nearly one quarter of Mastery students have individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure they receive appropriate, just-right, educational opportunities. We believe the IEP creates an opportunity for teachers, parents, school administrators, case managers, related services personnel, central office staff, and students (when appropriate) to collaborate and improve educational results for children with disabilities. Our special education teachers deliver research-based interventions, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to produce optimal outcomes.

Our Specialized Services Program supports students across levels, prioritizing inclusion in general education settings and maintaining high teacher-to-student ratios. We have classrooms tailored for Autism Support, Emotional Support, Life Skills, Multiple Disability Support, and Multi-Lingual Learner Support.

We utilize a robust Response to Intervention program and support diverse learners with a variety of research-based curricula in Reading, Math, and Writing, including Fundations, Wilson, Read180/Code, i-Ready, and IXL, among others.

We value Continuous Improvement and provide frequent professional development, coaching, and data-driven instruction opportunities throughout the year.

  2. Engage in professional growth, self-reflection, and feedback receptiveness
  3. Implement lesson plans and assessments collaboratively

  5. Collaborate with grade-level teams and share best practices
  6. Build relationships with families and communicate regularly
  7. Show genuine care for students’ success
  8. Respond positively to challenges with solutions-oriented approaches
Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree required with achievement record
  • Teacher certification – completed or in process
  • Subject matter expertise
  • Outstanding instructional skills driven by data and engaging strategies
