Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person role with a school in Boulder County, Colorado for the 2026/2027 school year. You will deliver targeted instruction in a resource/pull-out setting, provide small-group and 1:1 support, collaborate with general education staff, and support students with autism in a team-oriented school environment.

The assignment runs Jan 4, 2027 through May 21, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of classroom experience.
• Must have, or be actively in process of obtaining, a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license.
• Ability to provide a copy of a CDE license or COOL documentation with the resume for consideration.
• Experience supporting students who receive specialized instruction part of the day in a resource model.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a school-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted special education instruction in a resource/pull-out setting aligned to student support needs.
• Provide small-group and 1:1 support focused on reinforcing priority skill areas during designated service times.
• Coordinate with general education staff to support student participation in the classroom for the remainder of the day.
• Monitor student performance during interventions and adjust instruction to strengthen areas of difficulty.
• Collaborate as a flexible, team-oriented partner to support classroom and campus needs.
