Job summary

Ballington Academy of the Arts & Sciences in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a dedicated Elementary Charter School Special Education Resource Specialist Teacher. You will provide instruction aligned with student IEPs to support emotional, social, intellectual, and physical growth.

You will collaborate with parents and staff, offer materials, monitor progress and maintain records, in an environment focused on project-based learning and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Valid California teaching credential: Education Specialist Credential.
• Knowledge of project-based instruction and differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of California standards and effective teaching practices.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of English language development.
• Knowledge and experience with special education approaches and laws.
• Ability to consult with professionals and remediate learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements instruction and program planning for SPED students.
• Monitors and evaluates student progress and behavior.
• Obtains and provides instructional materials for SPED services.
• Serves as an informational resource for students, parents, district personnel and community organizations.
• Maintains records and prepares reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
